Advice to stabilize 1.6a

I am running my 1.6a at 150 fsb (woohoo!) but it is not stable (awwww). The motherboard is ASUS P4B266-C. Max temp is 45c. Vcore is set to 1.7, mbm5 is reporting it at 1.63. Prime 95 quits after about 5 minutes. At this point should i boost the Vcore more or boost the ram voltage? To the people who have been answering my questions, thanks. This is my first major overclocking project.

add more vcore.
set to turbo1 mode.
disable PCI delay.
plug in the 3rd moboard power plug. ("EZplug")
disable both USB ports.

HTH 🙂

Use the +12v P4 connector and a molex end from the psu into the ezplug??

Thanks for the info thugs. Your posts are always very informative and were a key player in helping me decide to get the 1.6a. I think i am about maxed out at 2.4 GHz. Max full load temp is 49c. I am going to try reapplying my arctic silver 2 this weekend to see if i can get those temps down a little. I think i smudged it a little (read: a lot) during installation.

np 🙂
it can take 2 or 3 days for arctic silver to "settle" into place and produce lower temps. give it 5 days before doing anything.
