Advice - Ti4600 vs fx5200

If I want to step up from a T14400/4600, what is the next faster card in thenVidia family - Ti5200

Did you try searching on the main page? The 5200 sux....if you have a 4400 or 4600, do not get the 5200. Depending on what games you play, the 5600/5700 may even be a waste of $$. If you can find a 5900 at a decent price, that would be a decent upgrade. I'd really have to think if I were going from the 4600 though....again, depends on what you're playing.

Honestly 4600 is a great card. I have 3.0 ghz p4 with radeon 8500 and am able to play all games (albeit without all the eye candy at 4 antialiasing and 8 anisotropic filtering)

but 1024x768 with full details no problem

in your case it would be worthwhile to wait until the new generation in spring to really feel teh upgrade

Thats my advice instead of spending 200 now save it and add it towards the new purchase

there is no such thing as a ti5200. there is a fx5200 but it would be a major downgrade from a ti4400.

If you want an upgrade from a 4600, go to 5700 Ultra or 5900 non ultra.

Definantly go not get a FX 5200(Ultra), As a minimum get at 5700 Ultra or better yet a >>>5900SE<<<, they will cost ~ $100 more than the 5200 but atleast you wont be spending money to downgrade.
