Hey everyone, need some recommendations to round out my build. So far I am going with i54670k, ASRock z87 Extreme4 mobo, 840 evo 250gb. I am probably going with a gtx 770 but not sure which one to go with. I would like to sli down the road when i have extra cash. So any recommendations for:

1. PSU (modular preferred and sli capable)
2. Ram (Haven't built for a while so not up to date on ram)
3. What version of the 770 would be ideal.

Gaming is the primary use.

Res is 1920x1080 but possible upgrade down the road and i will overclock but minimally.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

1. Seasonic, Corsair, EVGA, XFX are all good brands. I picked up this one a few days ago when it was a shell shocker deal ($10 less than now). It finally arrived tonight. Will probably test it tomorrow. Seems like an outstanding unit for the $$$. And it's modular.
2. Any DDR3 1600 RAM will do. There will be no noticeable difference in gaming if you went with faster RAM (higher than 1600) or RAM with lower CAS latency. There may be a 1-2 fps difference, but the situations are extreme and definitely not worth the $$$
3. EVGA is the best nvidia GPU manufacturer

As far as aftermarket coolers are concerned for the GTX 770, the Gigabyte Windforce (3 fan design), the ASUS DirectCU2, and the MSi Twin/Tri Frozr are great coolers. For warranty purposes and just overall customer service as nwo mentioned, EVGA is probably the best known on the market and their new ACX design seems to hold up pretty well as well.

nwo is also correct in that just go for the cheapest name brand memory which is pretty much anything that Newegg sells. There are some other weird names out there in the world of memory, and as far as the better names: Patriot, Corsair, Crucial, Samsung, G.Skill, Kingston are probably the best known names out there with relative newcomers being AData and Geil.

Agreed on the PSU advice for the most part, the only problem I saw with that particular PSU (and mind you this is just me nitpicking something I find annoying) is that for a PSU in the quality tier it competes in where most of its competition is typically much more expensive that and the 650W models in particular seem to have quite large voltage ripple/fluctuations. For the most part this won't matter to the vast majority of people but for people drawing closer to its limit or tuning heavily with overclocking and voltage modding it can be something of concern or just another thing that justifies one of its pricier competitors. Otherwise great build quality and unit for the price.

Thanks for the clarification on the ram that's good to know, as far as the psu goes would 750w be sufficient if I end up sli and moderate overclock? Or would it be better to go with 850?
