Advice please... Just found out my diode temps

Hey all, I'm new to this forum so forgive the noobieness.

I have an Athlon XP 2500+ that I effortlessly overclocked to 3200+ on an Asus A7N8X Deluxe. (12x200). I thought I was running at a relatively cool 47C at full load until I fired up MBM and checked the diode temp. It was 70C! I can understand a temp discrepancy of 5-8C but 23C? Wow. Anyway, when it's not overclocked it runs at 64C full load. I'm using stock cooling.

Can anyone recommend a HSF that would fit nicely on this board, cool better and be somewhat quiet?

Thanks in advance!

I have an SK-7 and a 80mm panaflo... diode temp is 50 C while running SETI@Home... right now idle it's 44. BTW... socket temps are 43 and 40 respectively.

Excelsior, Jeff7181,

Thanks for the input!

Jeff7181, those temps look a lot better. I'll put in an order for one SK-7 and one Panaflo.
