Hi all,

I am planning to retire my aging rig and build a new one soon.

planning to pick up a 5280k with 32 gigs of ram.
i already have a GTX780 that i will use to drive my main monitor and a GTS450 for the side monitors.

i also want to hook up m2 ssd as my os drive.

please suggest a good motherboard that will let me do

pcie x16 gpu
pcie x8 gpu
pcie x4 m2

and relatively decent onboard sound.

i dont overclock or care about wifi/bluetooth or other crazy stuff. just rock solid stability and reasonable price.

most boards these days come with decent audio..depending on your own amplifier gear..most have both optical out and standard 3.5 mm outputs..i have an asrock ext4 990fx that will prolly suit your needs..it will allow over clock has on-board raid and will allow you the "pcie" buses you want..i have had mine running over two years but using a 4170 amd quad core..although it has been very stable and a good work horse ...it`s my win machine as i have several machines..asus seem to be the over-clocker boards..some may differ..but gigabyte will be in the running if you dont want to over clock..i cannot give you any info on a gigabyte board as i have not run one of those since the early days..asrock are like the middle between asus and gigabyte a bit of both worlds...
