Hello there today i purchased some upgrades for my pc as my other one had died here is what i bought.
mobo=gigabyte z77x-d3h
proc=i5-3570k
ram=corsair vengance 8gig
cooler=coolermaster hyper 612s
my initial plan was to overclock to around 4.4 hopefully!
before i did this i checked everything was working fine at stock speeds so installed realtemps to check it out and prime 95 everything was a fresh install since i got an ssd also.
temps during desktop/web browsing are around 30-35c which i believe to be fine but when i did the stress test on prime-95 temps instantly jumped to 80c+ i stoped it quick sharp as this seemed incredibly high!
could anyone advise me on what could be the reason? could be the thermal paste (cooler master paste supplied with the cooler) an error i have made? i have 2 case fans one at the front sucking air in and 1 at the rear sucking air out.
any info would be great
thanks
Danny!
