I have a pseudo plan to start a business within five years. I do not have a whole lot of formal business background (just took finance and macro economics in college) I do however understand most of the principals, and I know I can do what I need to do.
My problem, however, is that I am not sure how to manage the details of what is required for all the fun legalities, copyrighting a name, incorporating oneself (actually want to form a non-profit business) and all of that good stuff.
I have a rough draft business plan as notes and in my head, but I am not sure how to write up a formal business plan, obtain the capital necessary (estimated needing approx $800k for the first year, depending on financing a few things). Basically need to learn how to get things up and running.
So, if anybody could recommend some books or websites where I could learn a bit more, or even post their advice on what they did I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks.
