My GTX 570 just went in the tank and I am looking to replace it without spending a ton of money.

Saw that newegg had a deal on a Radeon 7870:

I haven't bought a radeon card in some time, so wanted to get some opinions on this. Is this a solid card to get, or is there something else comparable in price that would be better?

Thanks!

OP HD 7950 is the card to get at USD 200 - 220. atleast 30 - 35% faster than HD 7870 at same clocks. on average overclocks to 1100 - 1150 mhz matching HD 7970 Ghz performance.

here is a HD 7950(1150 mhz) vs GTX 760(1280 mhz) vs GTX 660 Ti (1346 mhz) vs HD 7870 Tahiti LE(1200 mhz) comparison.
