In the past several months I find myself needing a PC that can convert video, currently I am using a AMD 2500 needles to say it's not cutting the mustard (4+ hours on a 1.5 hour video) I have been kicking around the idea of buying a Mac but I know nothing about OS X or Macs for that matter.
The thought crossed my mind that the new AMD and Pentium Dual cores may do the job but I thought I would get some input before spending any money, thanks for the help
