advice on power supply needed

I've posted about my problem before concerning random "dumps" back to desktop in d3d games on my Tyan S1854. Before I rip that out this weekend and start from scratch AGAIN with my P3V4X MB...I was wondering if it could be a power supply problem I'm having and how I could check that. My case is the Fong-Kai 603 mid-tower with 250W supply. These are the devices I'm running:
Tyan S1855, Pentium 3 733
2 Maxtor 7200 Hard drives (master, slave config)
1 10X DVD
1 Iomega Zip CD-RW
SB Live MP3+
1 ethernet PCI
1 SCSI ISA adaptor
Voodoo 5 5500
This doesn't look too stressful to me--the only concern may be the 2 7200 hard drives---do I need 300W??
And I don't believe its the fault of the Video card or drivers--as both my GeForce and now my Voodoo encountered the same problem.

That should not stress a 250Watt too much. 250 is good for most systems. 300Watt power supplies come into play when you have more drives(about 5 or more) or multi video cards systems. Thinks that use a lot of watts add up.

I use a full tower so 300Watts is standard with few exceptions.
