I am building myself a new computer. Here is what I have picked out:

Case: Enlight 7237 w/ 300W Power Supply
CPU/Mobo: Duron 700 w/ Abit KT7
Memory: Crucial PC133 CL2 DIMMs
Heatsink/Fan: GlobalWin FOP38

Staying in this general price range, what would you do differently?

Thanks for any input.

I you hate noise you might want to change the heatsink to an alpha or something else.

what you want to run on it? For decent gaming i would grab a geforce GTS. If that's less important grab an MX twinview, you can add a second monitor later which is sweet. Disk drive above 20 gigs is a must... Seagate or IBM is my pick. Go for a 7200 RPM, i got a 20 gig seagate with that spin and i love it. If you want a medium duty and medium price burner i hear Acers are solid.

You have a pretty good selection there. I'm using the same CPU, mobo and case as well as a 300Watt power supply. I like Mushkin RAM myself and have 2 Rev2, PC-133 128MB DIMM's. I also have a Cooler Master DP5-6H11 heatsink & fan. I realize "Cooler Master" doesn't impress a lot of folks here but my D700 is stable at 1083MHz so it must be doing something right.

If you are going for 256 mb of memory, buy one stick instead of two.
Also, make sure you have the latest mobo drivers installed directly AFTER you install windows. If you install the mobo drivers AFTER anything other than windows, you will have problems down the line.
