1. PC will be used for gaming D3/GW2/CSS/WoW etc..

2. Around $1000 would be best, can go higher to 1200 if its justified

3. Parts from Newegg

4. Any brands are fine

5. Will be buying all new parts

7. Yes i'll overclock a little, nothing extreme

8. Not sure about resolution, I have an older 19" samsung lcd I'll be using for a while, but will upgrade to a new 24" soon

9. I would like to order parts this week or next. I have read in to if I should wait for ivy bridge or not and I think for what I'm wanting there is no need to go with IB/Z77 or whatever.

Here's what I'm looking at right now: (in bold has been changed since original post)

COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel ...

Total: $948.56

What I have pieced together was primarily based off mfenn's thread. Some slight changes were made, let me know if you would change anything and why. Also, I have some extra money to spend if it can be justified by a significant boost in performance with a better video card or anything else. Thanks for any help!

Also, something I just thought about. There is no need for another hdd besides the SSD listed if I do not plan on going over the 120gb anytime soon? Or is this something i should get?

Would change the SSD to Crucial M4 for $165. There's a reason it's recommended in mfenn's thread. It is a more reliable drive and probably faster in small random reads as Sandforce based drives are typically a bit lacking in that important aspect.

The cooler is good but for only a little more you could get the much heavier and thus higher performing Hyper 612. (More heat pipes + more surface area.)

I'd change the RAM to the new G.Skill Ares, it is cheaper and is guaranteed not to get in they way of CPU heatsinks.

Everything else is good.

Ok, after changing the ssd and ram im looking at $984.56. I like your idea of the hyper 612, but I just searched for fitting that into the haf 912 and didn't find much info and what I did find said it might not fit. I'm going to look around some more on that, I'm curious if you have seen this combo

Edit:
HAF 912
Maximum Compatibility
VGA Card length :270.0mm
CPU cooler height:175.0mm

Hyper 612
140 x 128 x 163 mm (5.5 x 5.5 x 6.4 inch)

So it should fit

Parts list looks good! The Hyper 612 is basically the same height as the Hyper 212+ and most other 120mm fan coolers, so you should be OK.
