I currently have a Canon A530, it takes great pictures up close...but zoomed pictures leave something to be desired. I found this on Newegg and want some advice whether or not its worth it. I am comparing it in quality and price to this.

Any thoughts/opinions/advice welcome. Side note, I am a newbie photo junkie and would like to make a good upgrade. Thanks in advance.

I tend to favor the Canon S series - I have had very good performance from My S3. The S5 is a little better. But the Kodak is impressive, and $100 less. It Has great specs and I have seen some of its pictures taken by a friend. Very impressive.

IMHO, the Kodak is a better value.

I'm going to have to agree and say that the Kodak is the better value here. The Canon is a great camera and will probably take great pictures, but you'd be be better off getting the Kodak and saving some money IMO.

thank you very much, I've had a tough time convincing the wife that we need to upgrade...the $350 price tag is a little steep for our budget, but $200 is do-able. I'll probably pick it up shortly :) Just didn't want to spend less and get the shaft.
