Hi.
I'm trying to build a new system and need your advice before ordering. My main task is usually number crunching (i.e., using Matlab program).
1. AMD 64 3500 + Newcastle (retail version. Would stock cooling system ok?)
2. Kingston HyperX (KHX3200AK2/1GR) from outpost.com. I jumped on this deal but still wondering whether it was a good choice. The timing is 2-3-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
3. MSI neo platinum 2.
4. Antec sonata with 380 true power.
5. Any SATA drive
6. ATI 9600 XT or something.
My overclocking experience has been limited to the benchmarking of gurus here. Usually, I buy the similar spec reported as a good spec. I'm not so sure of my choice whether I can achieve 2.6Ghz overclock.
Could you direct me which item I should change to get 2.6Ghz?
Thanks.
