Advice on Music

I'm looking to get into more music. Anyone have any songs that have nice soft beats and preferably with piano. Nice relaxing stuff...

Edit: Something modern please. ^_^
Edit2: SPecific songs? 😀

Try stuff by David Lanz, the best modern pianist IMHO. The Setting of Two Suns, Vesuvius, Dark Horse, and Nocturne are my favorites.

You'd like Coldplay.

Not necessarily piano music, but I find Ben Harper, Guster, and Juliana Theory to be relaxing (some of the songs are probably not what you're looking for, but I think you might like some of their stuff)

Given your requirements, you wouldn't care for most of Dream Theater's stuff, but Wait for Sleep on the Images and Words album closely fits your description (as long as you don't mind vocals).

Anything from John Tesh's later albums. Particularly Avalon, but Live At Red Rocks, One World and Grand Passion would also suit you nicely.

I never thought I could seriously request John Tesh to anyone, but hell has frozen over, it seems.
