I'm going to take a leap and build my own system for the first time. I'd like something that will stay current for at least a couple of years as I continue to upgrade parts and I need motherboard suggestions. I use the system mostly for gaming. I'd like to try my hand at overclocking, but I need something that's pretty stable and easy to work with since I'm kind of a noob.
I'd like DDR3 memory since that's the future. Anybody know if the DDR3/DDR2 combo boards (like this one) are worth buying? If so, what's the best board?
If not, what's the best DDR3/LGA 775 board? The Core i7 processors are too expensive so I think I'll stick with socket 775 for now.
Any suggestions or advice would be welcome.
