Hi there

Tomorrow my new rig arrives. I've got the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty Professional Series 7.1 Sound Card and the XFX ATI Radeon 6970 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card both have HDMI slots, i'm going to be using the Logitech Z5500 5.1 speakers but i don't think they will arrive until Monday SO, how do i connect the sound to the tv?

Should i be connecting one HDMI cable from the graphics card to the LED TV and then one HDMI cable from the sound card to the LED TV?

Also is it better to use VGA cable from my graphics card to my LED TV or HMDI Cable?

Obviously once the speaker set arrive things will be different, advice please?

Just use the HDMI from the graphics card. With speakers from a TV, you wont notice the difference in sound.

Once your speakers arrive, you can connect the directly to the soundcard.

Also, remember to set primary sound to the graphics in the control panel.

Oh cool i didn't know you can get sound using the graphics card, so i won't need any cables from my sound card to my tv then, i just need to make sure in the control panel i set primary sound to the graphics card?

Yea and install the ATI HDMI audio driver when you install the catalyst driver package.
