Advice on getting school loans?

I'm freaking out!
I applied for a student loan from Citibank but I think I will be denied and not sure what I could do now to pay for school.

I need about 4200$ each semester for the next year so I had applied for $9000.

I really would not like to pay for it while in school; I rather concentrate on my studies instead of worrying about the money.

I get signiture loans through Sallie Mae, they are defered until you graduate.

Why not just apply for a student loan thru your university financial aid? I'm not sure about Citibank, but I don't think any student loan requires you to pay it back during school. I might be wrong, though.

My loan repayback didn't start until about 6 months after graduation.

I just called them up and they said.. the only problem they see is the debt ratio i have is over their limit. Their advice is apply with a co-signer which i dont have.

yeah, you are awrong. from the fed, there are subsidized and unsubsidized loans. sub loans you don't have to pay till after graduation where unsub loans you have to pay interest while in school.

I just called my college.
They told me to try Collegeloan Corp and i also mention the Sallie Mae and they said, tried them also but college loan corp is usually easier than say Sallie Mae and the big bad ass Citibank!

At my school, you can still take classes even if you have not paid a dime, but once you will not be able to get yoru grades and continue to the next semester till you pay. That said, Sallie Mae and Citibank are both hard to get if you are a student with no co signer. You have to have spectacular credit to be approved by them if you are an undergrad iwth no consigner.

Way to wait until the last minute... 😀

Not that i wanted. I did some local searches for the best adult school program and found that my original school was the best and i would not loose credits or reapply. I finally register in July and file for Fafsa in July but my school has not finish that paperwork but did give me an estimate on how much money i would still have to pay and that was last week.

Update:
My school told me to contact Campus Door who are lenders that go easier on the approval process.

Anyways I just did the application online and was approved right away for up to 25,000 of course I only took 10,000 at a 7% rate payable after you get out of school. Now all they have to do is verify with my school that i'm registers etc etc.

No more freaking out for now.
