The Liteon 163 on my Dell is starting to give me errors during READs .. so I need to replace it with a DVD-ROM drive that is among the fastest in reading DVDs.
I have a Phlips DVD Recorder for recording TV shows onto DVD+RW.
I then edit the shows directly on the DVD+RW disc and copy it to a DVD-R disc.
So I need a very fast reader to reduce my processing time. Would that translate to a drive with fast DAE speeds (pardon the newbie).
