Advice on Extended Warranty for 2005 SUV

My parents are looking to buy a used 2005 Mercedes ML500 for $19,500. I advised them to take out some sort of extended warranty to cover any repairs needed in the first couple of years they own it.

Does anyone have any experiences/references, or even who to stay away from. I've heard several complaints against WarrantyDirect.com.

Unless you can get a factory/Mercedes one, don't.

They all seem to not last and then a new one opens all the time.
