Yes the 4850 is a way better card. Do you have the power supply to run it? What's the rest of your system specs? What games do you play or gonna play and at what resolution?

Games played: I have ALOT of pc games from COD5, ghostbusters to every crysis to spore there prolly isnt a game i dont own.

I do know my CPU plays alot in performance and i got a guy that wants to buy my 9600gt for 50 bux so all ill be spending on the 4850 is 49 dollars.

I can run crysis warhead at Medium settings with some settings on Gamer and it runs smooth. i can max out cod waw no problems, I have a problem right now with ghostbusters i can run it all on low settings without a skip and it still looks really good. but when i max it out not so good.

my pc isnt the greatest and i am expecting bottlenecking
amd dual core 4450e

Res: 1920x1080. I had the res in my first post but its ok i didnt see it either and i typed it

The problem with getting a 4870 is im limited to 100 - 110 dollars. if i can get a used 4870 for that price that be great.

which card? 4850 should be one 6pin, 4870 is two. i wouldn't convert one 6pin to two 6 (or 8)pin, though, that cable is retarded for even existing.

use the standard 2x molex to 1x pcie to get get your other connector. if they wanted you to pull all the power through a couple of wires, they wouldn't have put so many pins on the card (will it ever REALLY make a difference, though? somewhat unlikely. but it's best to be safe.).

i was looking at the 4870 in the link posted above but it takes 2 6 pin connectors wich mine only has 1. so i wasnt sure how to hook it up. can i use just one 6pin on a 2 pin card or does it need 2.

am i better off just buying a 4850 with the one 6pin?

im confused on how to do this "use the standard 2x molex to 1x pcie to get get your other connector"

ok everyone i decided on the

HIS H485QT512P Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported IceQ4 Turbo Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814161244

Free Stormrise game w/ purchase, ends 7/31 and Free shipping. I didnt grab the 4870 because of the age and i thought about it and i really wanted brand new.

Thanks guys im pretty sure ill be happy. selling my 9600 for 50 so i only spent 44 dollars and the his comes with a mail in rebate wich drops it to 79 so i spent really nothing on the card.
