Also, while you may have a design down pat, would all the electronics actually fit within the casing that you've designed?

Since when can a graphic design be patented? That's like patenting a picture. Trademark yes, patent no.


actually, i was wondering about that as well... i called the us patent office and they told me that a patent would be most appropriate

Of course they would tell you that! It's like $10000 to apply for one and that's just APPLYING. You still have to pay renewal fees and theres no guarantee that they would even give you a patent!
