Ok so I'm looking to replace my PC for a few years till I'm done with school, and I'm looking at laptops. my pc is like 5 yrs old and runs like crap so I'm pretty sure anything is an upgrade right now. Anyways I'm trying to decide between 3 models.

1st
an inspiron 1501 - 479
AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core - 1800
15.4" screen, 80g hd, 2g ram and radeon xpress 1150 w/256mg

2nd
an inspiron 1501 - 499
AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core - 1900
15.4" screen, 160g hd, 1g ram and radeon xpress 1150 w/256mg

3rd
an inspiron 1501 - 499
AMD Turion 64 Dual Core - 1600
15.4" screen, 120g hd, 1g ram and radeon xpress 1150 w/256mg

Couple things this will mainly be for standard stuff, homework, net surfing, and some music/dl'ing. not much gaming maybe WoW or Company of Heroes but thats it, And I plan on dual-booting with linux. I think thats it, Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been out of the pc loop for a while now. ^^

What is the difference between the 2nd and 3rd, other than the hard drive? If there is no difference, get the 2nd option.
I wouldn't recommend the 1st option at all because you can easily install more ram later for a cheap upgrade

Edit: Nevermind, I see the processor difference. In that case, get option 3 for the better CPU unless you need more hard drive space

The Turion is the mobile version of the A64, so it will give you longer battery life.

Unless you need over 80GB of HDD space, then I'd go for option 1. The Extra gig of RAM will largely offset any difference the slower CPU will make, plus it's cheaper.
