advice needed: what tools I need to run home network

Hi, Don't know what "Tools" you are refering to. All Windoze comes with the necessary software. Most MBs also have the Net card built in. Check the back. It's like the telephone connector, but has 8 contacts usually near the USB ports. If you don't have them you can buy PCI boards. If running only two machines you will need a CROSSED net cable or a Router and two straight cables. Router will allow several machines to be netted. The latest is to use Wireless Cards and routers. Good Luck, Jim
