So I recently got a MBP 13.3 as a gift and I know that Apple has a conference in less than 2 weeks (Jan. 27th) announcing their new line of laptops (or iSlate) with i5 cores.

The laptop is currently unopened and I'm wondering if I should just use it OR sell it and wait for the new laptop lines from Apple. I'm also particular to the Asus UL30JT or UL80JT series.

I'm a regular PC user but have delved a bit into hackintoshes with a Dell Mini 9. Don't really use macs that often but I'm willing to give it a go.

What would you do in this situation?
 
Keep it. If you get into the "must have the latest and greatest" mentality, you'll constantly be disappointed with what you currently have. Finally, as u3laptoper mentioned, you never know what quirks will come up with new iterations of products.

It's a gift, and a great gift at that. Enjoy it.
