Hey guys i need some help. I plugged my 32" Lcd TV into my laptop, and it supports 1366 x 768 resolution, yet the highest I am able to select in windows display properties is 1024 x 768. I have the Nvidia Driver control panel Forceware 177.39 and Rivatuner 2.09.

Does anyone know how to make a custom display resolution and get it to work?

Thank you!

I had similar troubles with mine - grab a copy of PowerStrip for some solutions.

This utility can be a bit confusing to use, but what I ended up doing was having it detect my "monitor's" (TV's) supported resolutions from its own ROM; saved this as a "custom" .INF file; and installed it as, well, my display type. Wish I could be a bit clearer, but it's been a while. Basically PowerStrip lets you customize all kinds of display-related settings you've never heard of. :)

hey thanks man. I'll try powerstrip now. I was unable to test/set a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel, and I don't know how to do it via RT either.

Is anybody out there running 1366 x 768 resolution?

How are you connecting?

Some TV's have overscan in which using the lwoer resolution is the only way to reduce the overscan.

Also some tv's have a limit to the resolution when hooked via VGA.

That being said there are significant limitations with regards to laptop GPU and external solutions as stated above.
