Additional Notes

This is my first non web browsing only computer in 10 years. I haven't purchased any non console video games since then.

I currently have old Dell 1907fp monitor with max resolution stated above(1280x1024). I will most like upgrade to a better monitor (Budget <$150) around Christmas or New Years. I am not sure of the quality of monitor I will get for that budget, I think it may only support 1900x1200?

So my question is what card options would you recommend for the me? Something that can play max quality settings at low resolutions until I upgrade and then high to max settings at 1900x1200 or whatever my new budget monitor would be able to do.

Thanks everyone.
