Actually, Thermaltake PSU's are good quality, just with weak +12V rails. My feeling is that you drop them one "step" per rating that that's about what you get. Eg a 430W Thermaltake is like a 350W Enermax. 480W thermaltake is like a 420-430W Enermax/Antec/etc.

Certainly beat the crap out of generic PSU's any day of the week.

Btw, that Mushkin RAM RussianSensation linked is amazingly cheap! Quite the deal for 512MB sticks!

If you are limited only to the two options you listed, then definetly go with option two. The 6800gs will be much better for gaming, and if it unlocks you got yourself a 6800 gt, and if it oc's a little bit, lol, you get the drift.

I would have done something that got me a gig of ram. There was a deal on outpost a day or so ago, might still be running, that was for 2x512MB Corsair Value Select for like $49.99 AR

nothing wrong with thermaltake psus. i have both enermax and themaltake psus. the enermax puts out a bit more power, but the thermaltake is solid and consistent and have had no issues whatsoever. they're certainly better than the majority of em.

PC Surgeon - if you wanted to play games with AA/AF on then go with X850XT. ATI is known to run faster with aa/af than nVida cards.
