Topic says most of it, but I am looking to start selling about 50-100 items a month on ebay.

All the items will be roughly the same and I have started doing the research to streamline the process.

I know eBay offers the turbo lister for free as an easy way to make many similar auctions.

What I am really curious about is the seller management tools. I want to be able to look at an interface and see which items I have sold whether it has been paid in full with a verified paypal address etc.

I dont want to have to look stuff up individually unless there is a problem. A lot of eBay sellers I have gone through will send auto triggered payment recieved emails, automatic invoices etc.

I also want to be able to easily and qucikly print shipping labels for my products.

In a nutshell I want to be able to automate the process as much as possible from listing to addressing to feedback.

Anandtech has gotta have some real pros here and I would love if someone could help get me started or point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Turbo Lister is a good start. The eBay stores come with their own reports and what not for you to keep up with your what you've sold.

I tried this.

I was unaware of the PayPal limit on amount of money you can receive a month.

If it goes over $500/month you have to upgrade your account to a premier account which is also free.

But they then take something like 2.9% of all of the money you receive.

So ebay take their 2.5%+listing fees and PayPal (which is owned by ebay) takes their 2.9%. All that rake made me rethink selling on ebay.

craigslist ftw

Currently I have a premier/business account and understand the inclusion of fees. I believe what I want to sell to be profitable on ebay. I just need to figure out a good way to streamline the process.

Thanks again

Up until 3years ago, when I used to be a powerseller (it pretty much paid my way through college) I used Andale.com, and I liked them, I handled maybe 50-200 auctions a month, had things like auto feedback and inventory management and all that jazz. I've heard they've had some problems in the last year or so, outages and such.

Also check out kyozou and mpire, I've heard that a lot of powersellers are using those now.

hmm i will take a look at andale and the other couple you listed. is there anyway you simplied payment processing and auto invoicing?

for instance some sellers will automatically send you an email when you pay them etc.

Andale.com had those options. For example, I had it set up so that at the end of the auction the buyer would automatically recieve an email with a link to my check out, where they could pick their shipping option (next day, insurance, etc), then pay by Paypal or if by check/MO they would get my address. If they paid by Paypal, their payment would clear immediately and would show up as shipping required for me, if they paid by check/MO then I would check off a box when I recieved their payment which would send an automatic email, and then the same when the payment cleared. Then after I shipped it I would put in the tracking number in the appropriate field, click ship, and then they would get an email saying that it was shipped.

If you get serious about selling, I'd HIGHLY recommend going with your own credit proccessing versus Paypal. Much safer for you in the long run.
