Advice for car wash users

I am soo pissed. I went to a car wash and had my car washed and cleaned. When I got my car back, I looked in my change compartment and noticed those Mexican bastards stole about $15 in quarters (needed when parking in the city). I called the manager over and told him what happened. He called over his workers and they said the didn't see any quarters. They also said it wasn't worth it to lose their jobs over a few quarters. The manager said there was nothing more he could do. I know those jerks vacuumed up my quarters but I had no recourse.

From now on I'm putting my change in a ziploc bag in the glove compartment.

And to think, I gave those guys a tip in the tip box too. Bastages.

Actually I wouldn't recommend taking your car to those places even if they don't steal... I have seen ppl drop their spounge/towel on the ground, pick it up without washing it and use it immediately on a car... And the result? All the rock and sand get caught in the spounge and it's like washing your car with sandpaper... tons of little scratches all over the place...

So was your advice to stay away from Mexicans in general, or just Mexicans at car washes?? Mmmmmmmm, got me thinking about mexican food now.....I'm hungry.🙂

No touch carwashes are best if you can't wash the car yourself. Find one that uses the high pressure robotic sprayers and never touches the car during the process. They do a decent job cleaning it, and you don't have to worry about a dirty cloth or sponge grinding dirt into your paint. I'd never take my car to someplace where a bunch of people just hand wash it.

I go to the self carwashes with the multi function wash guns. Then I drive back to my house, and hand wax and detail my car. It's the ONLY way to wash your car. Sometimes the hose doesn't cut it. Anyways...I do a great job of cleaning my car, much better than detailers could. They always leave swirls.

Seriously? The hose doesn't cut it? You know that a high pressure sprayer isn't so hot for your paint too right? Think of all the grit and grim you're shooting around on your paint, sorta sand blaster like. I've never had anything I couldnt get off with bug and tar remover, a rag, and my garden hose.

Unless you can stand there and watch those guys with your car the entire time, it's not worth it.
It is your word against theirs. I would not keep any valuables in your car anywhere, if you plan to
go to another! 🙂

I havent been through a car wash in over 10 years(and neither has my car). 😀

Wouldnt let those guys touch a car of mine. No touch are all right for the paint but what about those floor tracks on your tires, wheels and alighnment.

No thanks, Im lazy but Ill still wash any car I care about myself.

I haven't went to a car wash for a while already. Ever since it broken my power antenna. Damn car wash. :|
As a matter a fact, I haven't wash my car for a while too. One of my friends that had a new set of rims that bulge out. he went into one of those brushless car wash, and the rails on the bottom scrap all 4 of his rims. 🙁 He was very :|:|:|!!!
