Advice for a trip to Hawaii?

will be visiting the big island and maui next week... wondering if any of you have advice for going there... i know i'm going to be looking for silversword plants! my mol/cell bio friend told me about how there are trees, shrubs, flowers, that all evolved from a single original silversword type.... and how the trees and shrubs can actually still mate with each other, so you get these half tree/ half shrub type things

anyways... any advice? at first i thought it was gonna just be fun in the sun, but then i realized that there's probably a sh!tload of flora and fauna that i'll never see anywhere else...

When i was on the big isalnd i took a trip to the active volcanos it was pretty cool to see, i would reccomend it if your interested in geology at all.

You guys may have seen each other. Gopunk's a CS nerd, so he spends most of his time in Sieg (or so I gather).

Darein was a potential EE guy; he's at UH now.

mike pointed him out during one of the Halo events in McMahon. So I know what he looks like, but I remain evilly anonymous to him.

i only know him from AT he used to go the uw i think... right? and yea... my parents already made the arrangements, so i can't go to oahu

Hmm.... I wonder if it was Halo... I know there was a big screen set up, and it was after the renovations to the dining hall, so pretty recently. There was some sort of console game going on the screen, and people brought their comps down and were playing CS I think. Ah, the memories of sucking at CS with the AlphaQ'ers hahahaha.
