Well I'm rebuilding my computer and I could use some help choosing a new AGP card. I would like some recommendations of AGP cards. I am a gamer so I do want a card that is going to have nice graphics & fps as well.

I'm not sure if specific graphics cards work really well with certain motherboards; if so my motherboard is an ABit, so if there are any cards that work really well with ABit, let me know.

Thanks!

You'd be happy with a 128MB retail RADEON 8500 (if you can find one). They are inexpensive and quite powerful. I loved mine. I'd also recommend a GeForce4-Ti4400 as this card can be clocked to GeForce4-Ti4600 speeds and beyond. Don't screw around with the GeForce2 MX400-Ultra (GeForce4 MX420/440/460) as you'll regret it as it's a DirectX 7.0 part.

 Outside US & Canada Rads are stupidly priced, but in the right places they offer great value. Rad8500LE-128MB ($100) is prob the best value Rad and offers excellent all round perf and features. If you have a CPU faster than Athlon 1.4ghz or want that little bit more (esp in AA) then a GF4TI is the best way to go and the 4200 ($120 64MB $140 128MB) is excellent all round and great value. If you want more 4600 ($210) is the next logical step as they have really come down in price. If you want the best Rad9700 ($350) is the clear winner in all depts esp with maximum AA and AF.

;) As said, specs, budget and reqs are all tremendously helpful.

Another vote for the Radeon 8500LE with 128MB RAM. I've had my card for a few months, and it's working well for me. Good luck. Peace.
