Advice for a heatsink/fan for an Asus A8N32/Opteron 170 setup

Next week I plan to get an Asus A8N32 mobo (if I can find one at a resonable price), and an Opteron 170. I plan to do some overclocking but after a bad experience with my 3.0GHz P4 Prescott and stock cooling I don't really have faith in stock cooling so I plan to get an OEM CPU and add my own cooling.

I was looking at the Thermaltake CL-P0114 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106061 because it got good reviews but after seeing this monster and how big it really is I don't know. This thing is freakin' HUGE.

So what would you recommend? I don't plan to get extreme in my overclocking so I'm only considering air cooling and not water.

My main concern is that the heatsink fit on the A8N32 around the chipset heat pipes and not block the DIMM slots.

Any help is appreciated.

Ive decided on the Zalman CNPS9500 its gotten good reviews and I know it will fit in the A8N32.

Some people have said that the heatsink is concave and wont sit all the way down on the CPU but Ill take my chance.

Either heatsink will work well. I have used both on the A8N-E and the A8N-SLI Deluxe and had no problems.

One bit of advice though, depending on the size of your case, you may have to install either heatsink with the MB outside of the case. I have a Sonta II case, which is a midtower. With the Zalman I had already installed almost everything else before I put in the heatsink. To get to the screws of the heatsink I had to remove the PSU and even then it was a serious pain.

When I built the second machine I installed the Thermaltake with the MB outside of the case, worked out much easier.

Take care,
