I am running winXP and am presently using the native drivers, 21.83, that came with XP. I want to install the newer 23.11 drivers; however, I am not sure how to do this properly in XP. Should I just run the install program and install them OVER the 21.83s? Or, should I delete all the 21.83 stuff and start from scratch?

You should always delete you older drivers before installing newer ones.

But let me ask you this. Why do you want to install the 23.11's? The 21.83's are WHQL drivers, unlike the 23.11's, which in my experience is a bit (and I stress bit) faster then the 21.83's, but with the 23.11?s certain features are inoperative. For example the ability to use 32-bit (Z-buffer) in certain games. Now I don?t know if this is a glitch in the 23.11?s? But it is an issue for some (well everyone that I?ve spoken too had this problem).

Do a search of the forums you may find more information.

Thanks NOX, I didn't know this about the 23.11's. OK< you said to remove my old drivers first. Well, I uninstalled them using the "Add/Remove" programs in control panel. However, when I reboot it automaticaly re-installs the XP drivers before I can even cancel the install. Is there a way to keep XP from re-installing so I can start clean with new drivers??

Try uninstalling the XP default drivers, and without rebooting (if possible) install the newer drivers. I don't know anything about XP only from what I've seen.

I just install the official 23.11 drivers over the old ones in XP,had no problems, went from XP native drivers to 21.83 to 23.11 that way.

Don`t forget the Windows 2000/XP NVidia Refresh Rate Fix ,I installed this after the Nvidia drivers,it fixes the 60hz problem in OpenGL games like CS etc.
