Advice about current speaker setup...

Right now... I have an Altec Lansing setup... 1 ACS48 2.1 system... 1 ACS22 as my rear speakers... and 2 ACS251 subwoofers for added bass. After seeing how you all have z560s and Klipschs and how you all rave about them... i now have that itch to get rid of my setup and buy one of those... but would it be that much different? I've never heard any of them in real world use... only in store demos where they sound rather crappy due to whatever they were playing it with. I imagine them sounding like home theatre systems were the sub just resonates throughout the whole room... 😱 ...mine just thumps the room. 🙁 Any of you with ACS48s think it would be worth it?

i think it is well worth it since the z560s can be had for sometimes around $115 shipped if you catch the right hot deal. i have the z560s and after listening to the opening scene of Lord of the Rings and feeling the bass actually shake my room, i knew these speakers rocked.

i agree, new speakers would probably change your world considering what you own now
i've owned the logitechs for a little over a month and i'm very pleased with them although i don't really turn the volume too high
though i am kinda jealous of the new 5.1 system that logitech is gonna start making with the wireless remote and digital control center
maybe you can wait a little and i'm sure the price of the z560s will drop even more, perhaps below $110 shipped
as for the promedia/klipsch, i didn't have that kinda money but they sound really really nice... you can get them if you want but you won't be disappointed either way
