Greetings, all. I don't know if this is a regional thing or special price or misprice or what, but I stumbled upon this hot deal while picking up the "O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack for my girlfriend (it was $16.00, by the way). Normal price for Buckaroo Banzai is $19.99 at FYE, but it is marked down to $9.99!!!!!!. Contains deleted scenes, alternate opening, and more. Compatible with Nuon-Enhanced Players. This is one of the greatest movies of all time. If you have never seen it, then rush out and get it. If you have already seen it, then you should see it again.

Actually, the "sequel" was made. The script for the second movie was retooled and eventually became "Big Trouble in Little China."

<Well, I got that info from IMDB so it could be wrong, but it sounds good>

I recently picked up the new VHS version for about $5 from CDNow and was quite disappointed to find that when they re-mastered it to VHS in 2000, they stretched the movie and everything is wider than normal. Bummer. Good flick.

BTW, anyone know what that watermelon is doing there?

courtjester,
No, the name of the store is FYE. The store occupies the space that once housed Camelot Music in our local mall (I thought that Camelot went through a name change or something). This is in Huntsville, Alabama. FYE website is www.fye.com.

If you prefer on-line shopping, Deep Discount has it for 13.67, free shipping. Tax depends. Best buy has it for about the same amount, but there's shipping.

Doods,

After reading this post, I recalled seeing this in a B&M store somewhere here in Cincinnati. I have checked the DVD section of most of my local stores with no luck. Today, I made a rare trip to my local Sam's Club, sure enough, I got the DVD for 11.99!!! Sku #910530. Could not find on website. I also picked up The Best of The Andy Griffith Show which contains 8 episodes and The Best of Barney which has another 8 episodes. Both were only 7.99 each!!! They contain only the classic B&W episodes, none of that color crap!!! These fools have no idea of the true value of these DVD's. Hell, I'd of paid $100 each for these gems.
