Just got off the phone with someone in a field office who called to say there was a problem with their laptop. She said she had a red X by the wireless network connection saying it wasn't connected. But she was sure all of her cables were plugged in like they're supposed to be....

btw: The field offices are all wired, no AP there.

I'm sure others have good/better stories. Post yours 🙂

I have 10 minutes to get to a meeting and some guy pops in the office.

"Can you print an AutoCAD file?"
Yes.
"Oh, you have a copy of AutoCAD?"
No.
"But you said you could print it."
I have other software that reads/writes .DWG files directly. I don't need AutoCAD itself. Give me the file and tell me how big you want the print. I'm on my way to a meeting but I can get it sent in for you.
"It's an AutoCAD file though."
I know. You told me. Give me the file.
"Can you print it on E size?"
Any size! Just tell me what you want!
"I need it... E size."
Fine! Give me the file.
"It's on a memory stick."
I pull the memory stick out of his hand and say nothing.
"WAIT! I forgot - the drawing is in French! Do you have French software?"

That was when I resolved to ignore everything he said, point him to the printer where the drawing will come out, and leave.
