I have a question. Do you remember an MS-DOS game from around 1990? It was more than just some action arcade game. It was some sort of adventure puzzle solving game. You had to figure stuff out, and I only recall moving some man around. The graphics were good, but not 3D Doom or whatever came to be later in the decade. Any clue what that game was? I remember it fit entirely on 1 floppy.
What else about the game? It was clearly an impressive game. Everyone felt it was "next gen" kind of a game. It was like you'd go into a room and have to solve some sort of cryptic clues. It was not an action game, BUT there were parts that did involve "arcade" style things like crossing a screen with moving obstacles. So, it was part adventure, part action. But, 80% puzzle solving. You were a guy and you'd walk around screens gathering clues. It was the kind of game you'd have to play for hours to solve.
It was a PC game. It was on a single floppy, which made it so impressive, since the game had depth. I recall the color blue when thinking of the man moving around the rooms/screens. The man would be like 1/4 the height of the screen, unlike a tiny PacMan, for example.
