Adventure Racing anyone?

we missed the new york, ny one this past weekend but we're considering doing the one in hartford, ct on sep 18-19.

has anyone ever participated in one of these types of events? any tips? how did you train?

never done one, but it sounds fun! As for training, I would imagine doing anything physical for extended periods of time to boost your endurance would work.

Go for it. Adventure Racing is a freaking blast.

I'd recommend doing the sprints first since the 24-hour events are pretty hardcore.

it sure looks like it. watching all those eco-challenges on tv got us into the idea.

oh we'd definitely only attempt the sprint to start out. we're all over 30(and some close to 40) and not really doing any type of training at the moment.
