Advantages of using USB versus PS2?

I've got a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer and it's native connection is USB, which is what I've been using for the last year. I recently installed NT4 Server which doesn't support USB, so I had to plugin an additional PS2 mouse. Advantage am I getting using the USB versus PS2 port? I know the screenrate is higher with USB, but that can be adjusted for ps2 mice.

Thanks

DOS use perhaps? Linux ease of use perhaps.. In rare moments USB craps out.. and I think USB uses a tad more CPU than PS2. Other than that, if you have the extra USB slot might as well use it. I don't because I only have 2, one for my CDR and one for my Visor.. if I get a hub I'll probably switch to USB for the mouse.

Better yet, look up the Sony HMDA200, it's got a built-in 4 port USB hub..LOL

IMO, the USB does seem a bit smoother than the PS2, but the USB does in fact freeze up during heavy disk accessing. Also, I think the 200hz setting for PS2 somehow feels like the cursor is "out of sync" with the screen in FPS games. It's strange I tell you. So PS2 at 100hz or USB at 125hz is up to you.
