Any advantages using BNC connectors versus the DB15 connector on the back of my monitor?

I swtiched and noticed that the BNC had clearer and sharper text on the screen. I thinks its worth the money to pick up a BNC cable.

What color cable wires denote horizontal and vertical?

RGB leads are straight forward and all bnc connectors are clearly marked on the monitor.

On mine horizontal is grey, and vertical is black. It should be the same for you. I've had two sets of BNC cables and they were the same.

After eliminating the red, green and blue leads, the remaining two leads are black and yellow. Based on your experiences yellow should be horizontal, I hope.

I found that lining up the connectors as they come out from the BNC cable (R - G - B, then the remaining ones) gives the proper picture.

Ahh, very good. To confirm all this I will put a continuity tester on the horizontal and vertical bnc ends to assure they coincide with pins 13(h) and 14(v) of the db15 pin connector. :) Thanks folks.
