Advantages of Socket T over Socket 478?

Just wondering what the advantages are of Socket T over Socket 478, I missed out on the Intel bundle for the 915 board and 3.4ghz cpu.. so I'm looking to buy something similar, but Socket 478 things seem a bit cheaper... just wondering what I will be missing out on.
