Advantage of 400W than 300W PS?

Is there any advantage of getting a 400W PS than a 300W PS? Also, what brand (Antec, Enermax, etc) is the best performer allround(power, noise, etc)?
 
Antec and Enermax are both VERY good brands, although Enermax would be a little quieter

The only real advantage of a 400W over a 300W is that it can power more devices. If you only intend to run one hard drive, 3 or 4 fans etc then a 300W Antec/Enermax Psu will be ample for even a grunty Athlon system.

350W+ is always nice though
 
Is that the Enermax Whisper or the regular Enermax? I heard that the Antec is pretty quiet too. Are the bigger PSU louder at all?
