Advanced Parole Application was Denied

My wife and I are in the later stages of a Green Card application. We have had our employment authorization cards for about a year and a half. The advanced parole documents we have expire in a couple of days and our application for new ones were denied because I used the same passport picture as last year 🙁 (obviously didn't know this was bad).

I have a few questions for people who might be in the know:

1) Does this affect my green card application at all?
2) Do I need an advanced parole document to continue to make progress with the green card application?
3) What are the implications of not having an advanced parole document? Is it strictly that I can't get back into the USA if I leave - thereby ending my green card process? So as long as I stay in the country I should be OK?
4) Our current I-94s expire on December 29th of this year - can we get new I-94 without having an advanced parole document? How?

Thanks in advance.

[EDIT]I have already sent these questions to my lawyer, but he is slow in responding normally[/EDIT]

Your chances of finding out the answers to this on here are about nil. 1-800-#'s are great for a reason, just call and ask a question. Not sure who you would call, INS maybe?

I don't think so.

Advance Parole and EAD are optional, AFAIK.

I think you will be forced to go the consular route, instead of Adjustment of Status, if you leave the country without Advance Parole. You may still be able to get your green card, except that you have to go to the US Consulate in your home country.

No idea.
