Advanced monitor timings/refresh rate with ATI Catalyst software?

Hey guys. I have a problem with my Dell monitor and ATI x800 XL video card. On the left hand side of the monitor, I have scrolling lines going about 4" across the display but scroll up and down. The rest of the monitor is fine.

I had this same problem with an Nvidia 6600GT, but I was able to change the monitor timings (Thanks Dug) and poof, it went away.

I installed Powerstrip, and I was able to adjust the horitonzal refresh rate up a bit, and the problem went away, but I'm not familiar with power strip, so I am very wary about using it. I'd rather use the ATI driver. Any ideas how I can setup custom timings/refresh with an ATI video card? (And no, I'm not going back to the 6600GT).

Here's a pretty crappy movie that shows the problemMovie showing scrolling lines

Now, I would normally assume something was funky with the monitor, but I did get a replacement from Dell, and the same problem was there. HELP! This is driving me nuts, and can't be good for the monitor.
