While trying to fix the "horizontal wavy lines" phenomenon on my radeon 9500 Pro (btw if you have a fix please help), I noticed that with the 9500 drivers there is no way to set your monitor for "general timing format". This is an option I used to have to specify (as opposed to another timing format, which I don't remember). I am running a Nokia 445 Pro, with the vendor's drivers, and I am wondering if perhaps the timing issue is linked to the horizontal bars issue.

Any help/comments appreciated.

I don't know. The newer drivers from ATI (this is for my built by ati aiw7500) have a seperate download for the advance settings. It is called control panel. Also different versions of drivers have different features. On my drivers (Catalyst 3.2 Winme) there is a setting "Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays". Note really sure if that is something related to what you are talking about or not.

Also make sure the settings are correct for your monitor, resolution and frequency. Sometimes (usually with older drivers) after playing a game the settings don't come back like they were until after a reboot. Or they might be set to a resolution or frequency that your monitor doesn't support.

Good luck with it.
