advanced message boards for my site.... help!

i would like to put up a really nice forum system for my website, that dosen't happen to be up yet but it is getting there. anyway, looked at ikonboard and snitzforums... maybe i'm getting myself way over my head with those two. is there a site that has good tutorials on those? maybe some other suggestions for a nice forum system would be cool too. thanks a bunch!
 
First, what scripting languages does your host support? you need to have a scripting language, such as PHP or perl to put up a BBS
And fusetalk is definitly out. Unless your host supports cold fusion (which I doubt) or you're willing to pay lots of money for the board and $3000 for the server 🙂
 
well... no host right now 😱 and haven't checked out phpbb yet either... i was planning on going with some free web page service, that i don't know yet either... whats a good place? other wise i can get a server for 5-15 bucks a month and that will support php and all that other fun stuff... even still i've been looking at the forum systems and don't get it.... 😱
