Adult swim classes...

So 25 years old and never learnt how to swim. Anyone have any recommendations on where to take adult swim classes?

YMCA is probably the easiest. Some dive shops have their own pools, and they may offer beginning swimming, but I think the "Y" would be your best bet.

I already know how to watch Adult Swim. All I have to do is catch the repeats after 12AM and miss sleep that I need for class or work. 🙁

Thanks Boomer. That is what i figured . YMCA is kinda expensive though. I will use their other facilities but I am wondering if it will be worth it. It is about $60 a month, about $85 one time fee and about $45 per swim class.

For those who learnt how tp swim as adults, how many classes does it take for you to be able to practice swimming on your own?

Don't know what part of the bay you're in, so it's hard to point you to any options, but, there should be plenty of other options beside the "Y". Like I said, some places that teach scuba have pools that are used for swim lessons, and the phone book may offer some alternatives under Swimming Lessons...MOST will be geared for kids, but there should be some adult swim as well. Of course, you could get a friend (opposite sex is nice) to help you at one of the local lakes...
