Adult Site Sues Google for Infringement

100,000 unique visitors a month to its Web at $29.95 a month?!?!?

people pay for pron still?!?!?

Not when there's Google Image Search, or so it seems

Sounds downright RIAAish. Instead of it being the person's fault that's Googling for "Boobies" it's the engine's fault for doing it. Smart.

I don' t understand the basis for this lawsuit since google isn't hosting the images I assume, only providing a means of indexing them? You shouldn't be able to hold them responsible for the content they search through when there aren't hosting it.

And let's see how well his business does when google pulls all references of them from their search. What a tard. Anyway, IIRC from reading /. posts this AM, the images are all hosted on foreign servers, not only is google NOT hosting their images, they're not even linking to ones from his servers.

There's no way they will win this suit. And they shouldn't anyway.

No they won't because if they were smart they could prevent it. But I guess they haven't thought doing that yet.
