1 The dad ran at the full speed at the kid and the kid fell over not flying thru but more like tripped over his own feet.

2.The dad took off running leaving his kid by himself.

So 1+1=2 noooooo

1+1= dads a bigger pvssy then kid on the field.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thanks Waggy that just proves what I said.

Rip off this guys testicles and insert v@gina. I bet you his kid is proud of him.................NOT

Heh, around here the player who made the late hit would have gotten the same treatment from his own coach (with full approval from the parents and everyone else). They know that reflects badly on them as a school and as a team/coach.

The consequences of the players' actions weren't that bad (oh noes he got pushed down), but the father didn't have any right to carry them out.

Atleast they are charging him with something he can easily beat.

How could he beat it. He did commit child abuse. In California touching a child who doesn't want to be touched it considured child abuse.

Touching someone, in any maner without permision is battery. The kid did not give permision to be pushed so the father commited battery.

Doubt it. Someone posted an interview in another thread about this - the kid acted like he didn't even know why the coach did it. But really that was just stupidity on the kid's part. I think he didn't understand the question or something. He probably meant to act like he didn't think he did anything WRONG, but instead came across looking like a complete moron because he supposedly didn't know what prompted the coach to hit him.

If that's the way the California law reads, that's just idiotic.

But it wouldn't surprise me, it IS California.

How old are these kids?

Damn dude, it was an unnecessary late hit in a game. But you don't go and try to kick some 12-year-old's ass for it.

Teach your kids how to deal with these situations, people.

The kid delt with it just fine. He waited for a penalty to be called, and it was.

That's what sportsmenship is all about. The kid that got hit did the right thing. His father did not.

The kid just layed that other kid out nowhere near where the play was going on. It was not just a late hit, but a cheap shot. As a father, imagine if some bigger kid did that to your son.

Kinda reminds me of the Warren Sapp hit on Chad Clifton that was nowhere near the play (although that one wasn't late). We all saw how Mike Sherman confronted Sapp after that play. Clifton had to spend Thanksgiving in the hospital.

Either way, based on the way the kid talks, it sounds like he should be spending more time in the classroom and less time on the field. He deserved what he got, but the adult shouldn't have done it. a 180lb 13 y.o. should have done it.
